How Is the Digital SAT Structured?
Unlike the traditional paper-and-pencil SAT, the Digital SAT uses an adaptive modular format with two sections: Reading and Writing, and Math. The test lasts 2 hours and 14 minutes in total.

Each section has two modules with a mix of easy, medium, and hard questions. The difficulty of the second module depends on your performance in the first module.

What types of questions are on the Digital SAT?
- The Reading and Writing section has 54 multiple-choice questions (MCQs) paired with short reading passages, differing from the previous SAT’s longer passages.
- The Math section includes both multiple-choice and student-produced response (SPR) questions. Unlike the old SAT, where calculators were limited to certain parts, the Digital SAT allows calculator use throughout the Math section.
