Digital SAT Reading & Writing Section Syllabus

The Reading and Writing section of the Digital SAT evaluates your college readiness in literacy, including comprehension skills, vocabulary knowledge, and the ability to understand implicit meanings. It is divided into four key domains:
  1. Craft and Structure

    Assesses your ability to analyze, comprehend, reason, and use high-utility words and phrases in context. You will also evaluate texts rhetorically and connect related texts.
  2. Information and Ideas

    Tests your ability to analyze and interpret information from texts, tables, bar graphs, and line graphs.
  3. Standard English Conventions

    Measures your editing skills for Standard English sentence structure, usage, and punctuation.
  4. Expression of Ideas

    Evaluates your ability to improve written expression to meet specific rhetorical goals.

What to Expect in the Digital SAT Reading & Writing Section

The section includes 54 short passages, each with one follow-up question, rather than multiple questions per long passage. Passages may contain grammatical errors, poor word choice, or organizational issues, and you will need to edit and improve them. Questions will also involve interpreting graphs and analyzing data.

Digital SAT Math Section Syllabus

The Math section includes multiple-choice and student-produced response (SPR) questions that measure your understanding of key mathematical concepts. It is divided into four primary domains:
  1. Algebra

    Analyzing and solving linear equations and systems.
  2. Advanced Math

    Understanding and interpreting nonlinear equations and exponential expressions.
  3. Problem-Solving and Data Analysis

    Quantitative reasoning about ratios, rates, and proportional relationships, and analyzing data.
  4. Geometry and Trigonometry

    Solving problems related to area, volume, circles, angles, triangles, and trigonometry.
